HAHA Batman, Jokes on you!
Just a peak at a new piece.
Over the past two days, horrible events, and some great ones have unfolded. One of the greatest stories about web entertainment is the company Roosterteeth. They created Red vs Blue, the second longest running sci-fi series ever, and gave it out for free. Its fans repaid them anyway, with that they went on to create more for this love. The hired a animator who created an unstoppable web anime called RWBY. His name is Monty Oum, he is one of the hardest working men on this planet and he is in the Hospital. Roosterteeth’s Burnie Burns made a s post two days ago.
Many who love this show do not follow the creators, and have not herd. I wanted to give a chance to let you guys know and help give money to help him. Internet celebrities do not make as much as people think. Please help.
There is a gofundme for donations. Fans, friends and the great people of the world have donated over 150,000 so far, do you best to help him.
As a fellow creator and a Husband, for the sake of you fans, yourself, and your wife… Fight like hell to get better Monty.
I am formally Announcing my new project. The web Comic B*tches and Baristas. Written by Emily Pearl Page Krippes and drawn by my myself. It will premier in January of 2015. So this is something I have been working on, lets just say something much bigger is coming. On Friday I will announce what it is. But here is a tease.
After 32 years, its time to awaken.
On June 12th, I’ll be at the Park.
These drawing are for a up coming project… enjoy a first look.
A soon to be crazy girl who now runs a web site called Emm’s Page, decided to go out with a crazy city boy who loved to wear long sleeve henleys. Now we are married and get to peak over each other shoulder to see what each other is up to. She is crazy, but a genius. I bet she’d say the same for me. But my art dose reflect her often.
This was the drawing for our wedding announcements.
But this year, while on our small honeymoon, we went to Steamposium. Which was perfect for us. We had the honor of meeting one the hardest working, most inspiration people I have meet in a long time. Steampunk Couture founder Kato. Turns out that pretty face owns and help runs like seven business or something now. But I got her and the other industrious women at the Steamgirl booth sign a card I had drawn for Emm the night before. I had Kato surprise her with it, it was amazing! Thank you so Much Kato, and all the girls at the Steamgirl both.
A new skill, hand drawn typography…. enjoy the new work.

I think it’s rare to meet someone famous who you truly respect, not just admire. Felicia Day is someone I admire and respect for the fact that when most of Hollywood and TV said she was too nerdy, she made it anyway, without them. She has produces dozens of web shows and gone very, very far. I took the Love of my life over at Emm’s page and went to C2E2. There we got to meet the one and only Felicia Day, creator of Geek and Sundry as well as the Web show The Guild. As we were waiting in line, we realized we didn’t have anything for her to sign. So I did a quick portrait of her. As it turns out you get photos of her when you get up there, but she loved the drawing and was amazed at Emm’s healthy, thick hair, and jealous. But at the end of the day (haha) I met Felicia Day
Day was great and super nice and very real. She didn’t even have giant sun glasses on!
The run away success of the Mortal Kombat Web Series returns with the full cast. Here is a trailer, enjoy the next season!
Happy Easter from the Overly Attached Girlfriend!
Yeah I crapped my pants too!
“I can make you Mortal.”
Starring Huge Jackman, a revamp to the Wolverine franchise.
Modern day can be very depressing. Yet the past, when you really look, is often just as if not more depressing to look at. Many feel they need to reinvent something new. Out of this breed a new kind of subculture born of literature. What was done was the romantic look, feel, and joy of a past time combine with the hope and fun of futuristic design. It’s called Steampunk. And it is one of the most interesting movements yet. What nerds, the new leaders of the world, have done is create a fun, and often sexy world of fashion, technology, music, and way of life. Most of the look of this is based off the steam age, or Victorian London. The looks have both elements of an older finer life and a punk “do it yourself” look. It has spawned great comics, novels and even some movies have elements. Games are starting to come out in the genre. Dishonored is one such game, and so is the new Bioshock game. The steampunk comic Lady Mechanika is one of the most popular indie comics out right now. It’s next to impossible to get this constantly sold out comic by Joe Benitez.
Fashion also has been one of the most amazing things that have been influenced by this genre. Shops, like Clockwork Couture and Steampunk Couture are out there where you can buy the clothing for either costumes or day to day. But in true Punk fashion, most of the steampunk work you see will be hand mad, often by the person you see wearing it. Krippes.com’s besty blog, Emm’s Page, has begun to make her own steampunk fashion. Check it out!
Felicia Day dressed by Clockwork Couture!
If you want to know what Steampunk is, look up Steampunk Couture, and its creator Kato. It is the oldest steampunk shop out there. Kato has done her best to create steampunk clothing, not costumes; this woman has created clothing that could be worn every day without making the wearer feel too much like they are in costume, or need five people to get them out of it. She has what may be the best example of modern steampunk style. All in true steam punk manner its hand made.
Think Steampunk is dumb? Think again, most steampunk people are hardworking and often very successful. You can even find them jumping into the most popular shows out there like Castle and Warehouse 13. Steampunk is here and in the past five years it has started to become more and more influential. I myself am using it as the inspiration of my new web comic.
Are you still a nerd but just don’t like steampunk. Well, there is always Cyberpunk, which is futuristic. Diesel Punk, which is more WW2 like in its fashion, like the game Fallout 3. And there still more Punk play-on movements. When people see a world they do not like, they often try to create a better one to escape to. Hey at least it seems healthier then the Vampire thing.
TV may in fact be a thing of the past. One day all TV unites will be connected to the web, and we all will watch YouTube. Regularly people watch half hour long programs (shut up I’m not old!) and longer on YouTube all the time. The fact is there is more on YouTube than all TV channels in the world. In fact there can become too much since anyone with a computer can post on YouTube. So knowing whose YouTube channel to watch can be difficult. Here are three of my favorite entertainment channels.
3. Overly Attached Girlfriend.
Laina is a 21 year old girl from Texas who one day decided to be funny and enter a contest where Justin Bieber was having fans remake his song Boyfriend in a funny way. What happened was a Video that was laugh out loud funny. Not only was it funny, but she can’t really sing. She is a comedian, making fun and joking. She also pulled the world’s most still and scary stalker face yet seen on the internet and became a meme and is now everywhere. She makes a new video every Monday, and each is funny in some way. Some are song parodies and others are just comedic videos. It might seem stupid, but it is really funny in reality. Sarcasm is funny.
2. Geek and Sundry.
Are you a nerd? Seriously, are you? Ok so you know who Felicia Day is right? No? She was on Buffy and Eureka! Yeah, the redhead. So as it turns out, she really is a mega nerd. She is also a compulsive and obsessive film maker. Well lucky for her, there is thing where she can pump out videos constantly. So her result was her first internet web series sensation called The Guild. This took the internets by storm. It was a series based on gamers playing a World Of Warcraft style game and have resulting social issues. It has run for six seasons, and might go for another. But this was not enough for the uber nerd, Day, so she made a YouTube channel to turn out six shows a week. My favorite is the Flog. But do not be surprised to see some major faces on this network, like Zachery Levi, Nathan Fillion, and this guy named Joss Whedon, he directed this movie called the Avengers. It kind of made a few billion dollars. His brother Jed directed and helped write this music video with Felicia Day, but Day seems to write most to almost all of the content on this channel and she produces all of it.
3. RoosterTeeth, Makers of Red vs. Blue.
“That was the worse throw ever…of all time.” If you have been living under a rock for the past ten years, or you’re old, then you might have missed the mega web series Red vs. Blue. Ten years ago (f**k I’m old) a few guys were playing Halo multi player, when one of them, a man named Burnie Burns, had an idea. He decided to make a short series of videos animated with the game Halo. He brought together a group of friends to make them. Burnie Burns, Gus Sorola, Matt Hullum, Dan Godwin, Geoff Ramsey, Joel Hayman, Jason Saldana, Kathleen Zuelch, and Yomary cruz as Sheila the Tank. Made a little show and put it on the Web before YouTube! The fans loved it, and the makers of Halo loved it so much they began putting in things to make filming the scenes easier for the crew. What was once meant to be a six episode joke became their life. They called their company Rooster teeth (don’t ask just watch to figure it out). After ten years they have become so well know that even Frodo himself stared on the show. That’s right! Elijah Wood was on it. With their video game spin off site, Achievement Hunter, they have expanded with many other series, and even more to come. But if you are wondering how popular this sight has become, they have almost 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube, and as of this moment they have 1,844,435,598 views. This does not count their own website, where you can be a sponsor and see the videos before they hit YouTube. Also, if you want to catch up with their series, you can buy the blue ray on dvd at Best Buy. Not bad for some guys who wanted to goof off.
These are just my favorites. YouTube is too big to watch, seriously. If one was going to try and watch every video on that is currently on YouTube, they would die of old age before the half way point, and even then they can never sleep. There is still more to come.
